A thermostable and long-term-stable ionic-liquid-based gel electrolyte for efficient dye-sensitized solar cells

摘要
(Graph Presented) Binary ionic liquids are used to prepare two thermostable and highly conductive gel electrolytes (A and B). Quasi-solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells using these electrolytes show high power conversion efficiencies of up to 5.8% at 20°C and work well over a wide temperature range (20-80°C), as shown by plots of photocurrent density versus voltage (see picture), and remain in the gel state even at 80°C (inset). © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
