X-ray grazing incidence diffraction on monolayers at the surface of water

摘要
Surface diffraction of X-rays at the air/water interface is now becoming a tool for numerous systems, ranging from simple amphiphiles to large molecules like C-60 In the past year, several original studies were conducted on the role of chirality in 2D. The quality of the synchotron beams now allows the observation of short-range order, as well as highly ordered protein crystals having large unit cells.
