Synthesis of polymers composed of alternating diphenylenedithienosilole and diethynylenesilylene units and their applications to hole transport in double-layer EL devices

摘要
The dithienosilole with a silole ring fused with two thiophene rings, was synthesized as the novel silole containing conjugated compounds. The synthesized polymers having dithienosilole units in the backbone were used as electron and hole transport for electroluminescence devices. To obtain dithienosilole based materials with sufficient thermal stability, polymers composed of alternating di(phenylene)dithienosilole and diethynylenesilylene units were designed.
