Enzymatic electrode for the determination of L-lactate

摘要
An amperometric L-lactate biosensor was constructed by confining lactate oxidase and a redox mediator in a carbon paste electrode. Conditions for optimal electrode response were determined by varying the modified carbon paste composition. Using hydroxymethyl ferrocene as a redox mediator resulted in an improvement of sensitivity and linearity range of the electrode. The sensor showed a repeatability and accuracy compatible with industrial use.
