摘要
The title compound [K([2.2]crypt](2)[HgGe9](dmf)(1)) (1) has been obtained by reaction of elemental mercury with the binary phase of the formal composition K4Ge9 in dmf and after addition of [2.2]crypt. The X-ray single crystal analysis shows that 1 contains polymeric (1)(infinity)[HgGe9](2-) units in which Geg clusters are linked together by mercury atoms. The differences in the structures of 1 and the related compound [K([2.2.2]Crypt)](2)[HgGe9](en)(2)(2)) 2 are discussed.
