摘要：

Nickel (II)-catalyzed polymerization of trans-2-butene was demonstrated. The mechanism for internal olefin polymerization reaction involved fascile chain walking after monomer insertion which produced a polymer chain with a methyl branch on every third backbone carbon. Results indicated that the (α-diimine)Ni(II) catalysts were active for the polymerization of the acylclic internal olefin trans-2-butene which yielded high molecular weight material with well-defined regioregular microstructure.
