摘要：

This article provides guidance for analysts and software developers on how to adapt their existing simulations to support the High-Level Architecture (HLA). The first section of the article discusses how to plan for HLA by providing strategies that can be used in developing and object model for an existing simulation. The second section discusses modular software design techniques for adapting a simulation for HLA with the goal of maximising interoperability.
