摘要
The chiral at metal complex [CyRuCl(R)-QUINAP] SbF6, 1, was prepared from (CyRuCl2)(2), (R)-QUINAP, and AgSbF6. Characterization by H-1, P-31{H-1}, and C-13{H-1} NMR spectroscopy indicated a 5:1 mixture of diastereomers was present; single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed that the major diastereomer possessed the (R-Ru, R-QUINAP) absolute configuration. The dicationic complex, which was prepared in situ when 1 was treated with 0.9 equiv of AgSbF6, catalyzed the Diels-Alder reaction of CpH and methacrolein in 99% ee at -24 degreesC.
