摘要：

A color correction technique for color image alteration by borrowing one image's color characteristics from another is described. A statistical analysis is employed to impose one image's color characteristics over another. An algorithm is developed for choosing a suitable color space with decorrelated axes for manipulating color images. The colors of a sunset photograph applied to a daytime computer graphics rendering is cited as an example of the color correction technique. Color correction is also expected to be achieved by the choice of an appropriate source image and application of its characteristic to another image.
