In-situ preparation and analysis functional oxides

摘要
The in-situ preparation and analysis of functional oxides were investigated using the prototypic Li-ion battery cathode material LiCoO 2 and the important ITTO/organic interface in OLEDs. Thin films of LiCoO 2 and ITO was prepared by magnetron sputtering and ITO interfaces are formed by thermal evaporation of organic molecules. A solid solution Li 1+xCo 1-xO 2 was formed giving LiCoO 2 for optimized conditions. Photoemision studies of in-situ sputtered ITO films revealed a metallic surface, which is believed to be important for the unexpected carrier at ITO surfaces, which is essential for establishing low injection barriers at ITO surfaces.
