Oryzomys lamia Thomas, 1901 (Rodentia, Cricetidae): karyotype, geographic distribution and conservation status

摘要：

The Oryzomys lamia karyotype (2n = 58 / FNa = 82) herein described differs from all others reported for Oryzomys species, confirming the validity of this taxon. O. lamia appears to be endemic of the Cerrado of Central Brazil. The occurrence of this species was confirmed only in three localities, in Minas Gerais and Goias states. The scarcity of collected O. lamia specimens and the limitation of its distribution suggests that this is a rare species, mainly a forest formation inhabitant, which should be considered as vulnerable with respect to its conservation status.
