摘要
The corrosion inhibition efficiency of a omega-benzoyl alcanoic acid model compound was studied and compared to that of benzoic acid. Electrochemical tests showed that the electrolyte can significantly influence the performance of corrosion inhibitors. A theoretical model that is able to describe the influence of anion and inhibitor concentration on corrosion rates was developed. The experimental procedure coupled with the adsorption model was shown to provide a quantitative way of evaluating and ranking inhibitors.
