摘要：

An efficient synthesis of bicyclic diketone 3, possessing most of the functional groups and stereogenic centers required for construction of the unique skeletons of CP-225,917 (1) and CP-263,114 (2), was achieved by utilizing an intramolecular Diels-Alder reaction and Pummerer rearrangement.
