摘要
8-Hydroxyquinoline is a versatile ligand in coordination chemistry which was mainly used for analytical purposes. Due to the special properties of some of its complexes it experienced a renaissance in synthetic coordination chemistry. This review describes recent applications of 8-hydroxyquinoline derivatives to obtain new supramolecular sensors, emitting devices or self-assembled aggregates. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V.
