摘要
(Chemical Equation Presented) Molecular traffic jam: The engineering of a bacillaene polyketide synthase deficient in thioesterase (TE) has led to the production of 13 hydrolyzed biosynthetic intermediates (see picture). This unexpected effect provides detailed insights into almost the entire bacillaene pathway and related poorly characterized polyketide routes. © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag-GmbH &. Co. KGaA.
