摘要
The two-dimensional problem of the electromagnetic thermoelastic medium containing an elliptical cavity subjected to a remote uniform heat flow is considered. Using the extended Stroh formalism, and the technique of conformal mapping, the explicit and closed-form expressions for the coupled fields are obtained both inside and outside the cavity. The exact electromagnetic boundary conditions on the cavity surface are adopted in this analysis. When the elliptic cavity degenerates into a slit crack, the corresponding solution and the intensity factors are given explicitly. The effect of the heat flow direction and the dielectric constant and magnetic permeability of air inside the crack on the thermal magnetoelectroelastic fields is discussed.
