Very low group delay ripple characteristics of fibre Bragg grating with chirp induced by an S-curve bending technique

摘要
A chirped fibre Bragg grating, which was almost group delay ripple-free. has been achieved by inserting a beam containing a 100mm-long. phase-error-free uniform grating and a metal rod into an S-shaped groove formed in a plastic substrate. The amplitude of the roup delay ripple was less than +/-3 ps around a centre wavelength or 1552.7 nm.
