摘要：

Nanoscale plumbing: A zwitterionic, helical pipe of nanodimensions that contains a two-dimensional water chain (see picture; Br yellow, C gray, N blue, O red, Hwater white, Himidazolium omitted) assembles from the reaction between zinc metal and N,N′-diacetic acid imidazolium bromide. A detailed study on the dynamics of the incorporated water molecules has been conducted by solid-state NMR spectroscopy. (Graph Presented). © 2005 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
