A methodology of implementation of cellular manufacturing

摘要
This paper proposes a methodology of implementation of cellular manufacturing. This methodology integrates into a logical routine the series of methods and activities that characterize the implementation of cellular manufacturing in typical operations systems. The methodology has been designed and refined along an action research project in a toy manufacturer in South Brazil. The results suggest that its application may successfully co-ordinate the implementation of manufacturing cells in a team-based approach, and subsequently improve people's knowledge about the process of continuous improvements in operations.
