Genetic algorithms and artificial neural networks for description of thermal deterioration processes

摘要
Two novel approaches to modelling of thermal deterioration processes have been proposed in the paper. In the first approach, the genetic programming is used and in the second one, the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) structures are investigated. The models developed were verified on the basis of experimental data obtained fi-om the process of vitamin C thermal degradation. Both approaches provide an excellent process description. In the case of ANN modelling, the proposed method is simpler to implement when compared to classical models.
