摘要
The effective conductivity of a composite containing cylindrical fibers of graded materials has been theoretically investigated. Typical graded profiles were considered and the response to an applied electric field was studied in detail. The effective conductivity of the composites was calculated based on the analytic solution for an isolated graded fiber inclusion in the dilute limit. A composite containing fibers of graded shells was considered, which is a useful model to simulate the effect of a general graded conductivity profile. (C) 2003 American Institute of Physics.
