摘要：

The synthesis, characterization of triangular nanoplates of silver and use as sacrificial templates for generating triangular nanorings of gold was studied. A photo-induced process that involved the use of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) PVP and citrate anions to transform silver spherical colloids into triangular nanoplates was described. A set of experiments were designed to establish the roles of citrate and PVP in the morphological transformation process.
