摘要
Low temperature magnetic properties of (Zn-Sn) substituted barium hexaferrite nano-particles (BaFe12-2x ZnxSnxO19) from 78 to 293 K have been measured to study the substitution effects on their temperature dependence characteristics. It was found that suitable amount of substitution could increase the saturation magnetization M-s, which became obvious only at temperatures lower than 293 K. Different from other types of dopant-combinations, BaFe12-2xZnxSnxO19 particles showed a small positive temperature coefficient of coercivity in this temperature range. This coefficient decreased with the increase of substitution concentration x from about 3.7 Oe/K (x = 0) to 1.9 Oe/K (x = 1.1). The anisotropy constant K-1 of these particles increased linearly with the decrease of temperature. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
