Silica gel/NaHSo4 catalyzed one-pot synthesis of Hantzsch 1,4-dihydropyridines at ambient temperature

摘要
An efficient synthesis of various substituted Hantzsch 1,4-dihydropyridines (1,4-DHPs) using silica gel-supported sodium bisulfate as heterogenous catalyst for the first time from an aldehyde, beta-keto ester and ammonium acetate in acetonitrile is described. This novel method consistently has the advantage of excellent yields (75-90%) and short reaction time (5-8 h) at ambient temperature. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
