摘要
The electrodeposition of metals from aqueous solutions is a longstanding technique, commonly known as electroplating. Now, electrodeposition is being used to produce ceramic coatings. Two such processes are known as electrolytic and electrophoretic deposition. They may be applied to protective coatings, biomedical implants, electronic devices, chemical sensors, piezoelectric transducers, displays, and electrode materials. Electrodeposition offers important processing advantages and allows new possibilities in the design of materials and devices. This paper describes recent developments in the application of electrodeposition for fabrication of fuel cell membranes.
