摘要
A first attempt is made to survey and discuss the recent advances in hybrid active-passive structural vibrations control. The survey is illustrated with figures and tables for helpful use by researchers and designers interested in this growing field. Focus is put on the hybrid damping systems that combine active piezoelectric and passive viscoelastic materials. For each contribution, several features are detailed. These include the specific hybrid damping configuration, modeling assumptions, piezoelectric and viscoelastic effects modeling, response analysis methods, control strategies, and main results of parametric studies and optimizations. It was found that if the damping performance is the main objective of the designer, hybrid configurations allowing for separate actions of the piezoelectric and viscoelastic materials are to be preferred. Experimental, theoretical, and numerical analyses of hybrid vibration control of beams, plates, and shells are then reviewed, separately, in detail. It was found that three-quarters of the relative contributions were concerned with beams only. Hence, greater research efforts are still needed for two-dimensional structures, in particular far shells. Several other guidelines for future research are also outlined in a specific trends and research directions section.
