摘要
The developments done on location-enhanced applications in delivering real-world ubiquitous location computing systems are discussed. These systems have a goal to provide highly accurate location estimates, on the order of centimeters within a small area or providing lower accuracy over a wide coverage area. Global positioning system is the most familiar example of location system that provides wide-area coverage. Another class of wide-area location technology, provided by wireless phone service companies, which use cell phones to estimates a user's location is also discussed.
