Synthesis of cobalt/polymer multilayer nanotubes

摘要
The synthesis of arrays of composite magnetic nanotubes formed in porous alumina with a perfect hexagonal pore arrangement, was carried out. The synthesis was based on imprint lithography with a pore diameter of ∼ 180 and 360 nm, and in the macroporous silicon templates with a pore diameter of 520 nm. The thin walled cobalt nanotubes were coated with a polymer layer on their inner walls. The composite nature of the magnetic tubes are expected to be very suitable for applications in biotechnology, where magnetic nanostructures with low density are very desirable.
