摘要
A biomimetic protein cross-linking reaction is described which employs oxidatively-activated manganese and iron porphyrins as the reactive species. A wide range of proteins cross-link under these conditions, but only if they are intimately associated in solution. The reaction is rapid, efficient, and will be useful for the suprastructural analysis of multiprotein complexes. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
