Electrical properties of apatite-type oxide ionic conductors were investigated. Single crystal growth in an infrared furnace was accomplished using the floating zone (FZ) method. A complex plane impedence analysis was used to determine the conductivities. The conductivity data paremeterized by the Arrhenius equation, was analyzed by extrapolation to zero reactance of the complex impedance plot.
