摘要
Superconducting circuits, which can test quantum mechanics at macroscopic scales and can be used to conduct atomic physics experiments on a silicon chip are discussed. Josephson junctions, superconducting grains or electrodes separated by an insulating oxide acts like nonlinear inductors in a circuit. Superconducting circuits experience significant levels of noise due to their coupling to the environment. Superconducting circuits provide researchers with tools to test fundamental quantum mechanics in several ways.
