摘要
DTNBP1 in 6p22.3, the human ortholog of the mouse dysbindin gene, has recently been reported to be associated with schizophrenia in Irish high density pedigrees. In the present study, transmission/disequlibrium tests of haplotypes, on the basis of 7 SNPs within DTNBP1 genotyped in 233 Han Chinese trios, revealed a significant association with the disease. The results partially support the previous studies and indicate that the DTNBP1 gene may play a significant role in the etiology of schizophrenia in Han Chinese.
