Synthesis and characterization of the thiourea-capped CdS nanoparticles

摘要
The synthesis of thiourea capped CdS nanoparticles with poly (N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) (PVP) as stabilizing agents was presented. The thiourea-capped CdS nanoparticles showed an absorption onset at 455 nm, blue-shifting 60 nm compared with bulk CdS. A green emission at 490 nm was observed when the CdS nanoparticles were capped with thiourea.
