The total synthesis of 8-12-iso-iPF(2 alpha) -VI 12 and its 5 epimer 13 is described. With the aid of the synthetic materials these isoprostanes have been identified in and isolated from human urine. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
