摘要：

There were only very limited studies reported on biotoxicity of nanotubes and related materials. While many newcomers to the area consider nanotubes as a single material, scientists working in the nanotech area know that not only single-wall and multi-wall nanotubes exist, but hundreds of kinds of carbon nanotubes (CNT) were reported and were considered for potential applications. Despite this knowledge, the effect of the size, chirality, and aspect ratio of nanotubes on bioactivity was not known.
