摘要
The advancements of commercially available ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS) coupled instrumentation techniques has increased the integration of IM-MS techniques into the life science research programs. IM-MS technique provides several key advantages over contemporary MS-only techniques, especially in rapid analysis of complex biological materials in the system biology. The IM-MS technique provides the structural separations on the basis ion structure and m/z, by IM and MS, respectively. Methods are also discussed to separate ions natural gases on the basis of ion mobility, which can be delineated as ion separation selectivity based on space dispersion, respectively. IM-MS has the ability to separate isobaric species on the basis of structure, which effectively provides a means for the separation or reduction of chemical noise.
