From helical to staggered stacking of zigzag nanographenes

摘要
A new synthetic strategy toward novel alkylphenyl-substituted D (2h) symmetric zigzag nanographenes has been established, leading to different derivatives with specific substitution patterns of the disc corona. This concept allowed a facile control over the intracolumnar ordering of the molecules. For the first time, a change of the supramolecular organization from helical stacking to a staggered superstructure has been observed.
