Spectroscopy and dynamics of the H2-CN van der Waals complex

Spectra for the H-2-CN and D-2-CN complexes have been observed in association with the monomer B (2)Sigma(+)-X(2)Sigma(+) and A (2)Pi-X(2)Sigma(+) transitions. Ground state dissociation energies of D-0" = 38+/-1 cm(-1) (H-2-CN) and D-0" = 42+/-1 cm(-1) (D-2-CN) were determined. Electronically nonadiabatic predissociations of H-2/D-2-CN(A) complexes were characterized using double resonance techniques. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics. [S0021-9606(98)03437-0].
