On the diffusion mechanisms in quasicrystalline structures

摘要
Diffusion mechanisms in quasicrystalline intermetallic compounds are considered. For ordered structures of the i(AlMnSi) type a ten-jump ring maintaining the atomic order is suggested. It is shown that such a mechanism is reduced to a six-jump cycle for the i(Al, Zn)Mg type phases. Effects of ordering and electron structure on the diffusion mechanisms are discussed.
