Magnetic properties of bilayered Sr3Ru2O7

摘要
We have grown single crystalline Sr3Ru2O7 by a floating-zone method. The lattice parameters and field dependence of magnetization are remarkably different between the floating-zone and the flux-method crystals. While the flux-method crystal is a ferromagnet with T-c = 104 K, the floating-zone crystal is a paramagnet. This difference reflects that metallic Sr3Ru2O7 is intrinsically in the vicinity of a strong ferromagnetic instability. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
