摘要
Weight functions allow for the determination of stress intensity factors K and T-stresses T under various crack surface tractions. Whereas the mode-I stress intensity factor in most cases is determined by the normal tractions only and the mode-II stress intensity factor by the shear tractions on the crack faces, nonsymmetric cracks are also determined by mixed-mode terms of the weight function. This also holds for the weight function representation of T-stresses. This paper provides the complete weight function description of K and T using an oblique crack in a semi-infinite body as an example.
