摘要
The characteristic properties of cathodoluminescence (CL) emitted from phosphor screens were described. The advantages of cathode ray tube (CRT) over flat panel displays (FPD) were reported. The images on CRTs were illustrated by the CL light from phosphor pixels, which is the flux of visible photons.
