摘要
The binding of proteins to CNTs using a system that simplifies genetic analyses was investigated. Test enrichments were conducted in a phosphate buffer when searching for metal-binding polypeptides. The population recovered from a single cycle of enrichment for binding to CNTs in a Tris-HCI buffer differed from that obtained in PKT. The supernatants were transferred to fresh tubes and centrifugation repeated. The protein used for solubilization was high and thus may have hidden any specificity for binding to chiral states of CNTs. The concentration of protein in the binding essay was varied to examine the efficiency of CNT binding. It was observed that the binder from λcnt has a small hydrophobic region associated with a large hydrophilic charged region.
