Separation and characterisation of hop bitter acids by HPLC-H-1 NMR coupling

摘要
A supercritical carbon dioxide hop extract has been analysed using on-line coupling of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with H-1 nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. For the first time high quality NMR spectra of the six major hop bitter acids were recorded by employing the stopped-flow detection mode. The resolution of the spectra obtained is similar to that of conventionally recorded spectra. All data are in agreement with the known structures.
