Carbon nanotube composite deposits with high hardness and high wear resistance

摘要
The carbon nanotubes (CNT) in the composites were found to be not damaged during the preparation and that no reaction products at the CNT/A1 interface were visible after annealing for 24 h at 983 K. However, CNT/A1 composites have shown only a slight strength enhancement. This situation was mainly due to difficulty in dispersing the CNT and adhesion to the metal matrix. This paper describes how chemical deposition to prepare CNT/Ni-P composites was employed.
