摘要：

The use and application of asymmetric processes for the development of synthetic protocols involving the stoichometric use of chiral agents and auxillaries was discussed. It was found that the use of hydroxy ketone combined with excess lithium chloride combined with excess lithium chloride was shown to be general and a wide range of aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes gave stereoselective acetate aldol reactions. The highest stereoselectivity was obtained in the reaction of hydroxy ketone with pivalaldehyde.
