摘要
A novel hydrogel composite based on oxidized alginate, gelatin and tricalcium phosphate (TCP) that shows the physio-chemical and biological properties of the bone was analyzed. Morphologies of wet state and lyophilized cross-linked oxidized alginate, gelatine and TCP hydrogel composite were investigated by using a commercial camera and scanning electron microscopy. The water uptake capacities of hydrogel composites were determined by swelling them in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) at room temperature. Oxidized alginate, gelatin and TCP were sterilized using ethylene oxide according to standard protocol. The hydrogel composite was proved to be a potential drug delivery carrier with controlled biodegradable property. The hydrgel composites are the appropriate candidates for bone tissue engineering and other medical applications.
