摘要
A new modification of CaLi2 (beta-CaLi2) was obtained by simultaneous deposition of calcium and lithium on a sapphire substrate. This compound crystallizes cubic in the MgCu2-structure type (Fd (3) over barm, a = 885.6(1) pm, R-p=5.1 %, R-wp=6.6 %, structure analysis with the Rietveld-method) and transforms at 150 degreesC into the well-known hexagonal alpha-CaLi2. The thermal behavior was studied by temperature-dependent X-ray diffraction.
