摘要
Initial evaluation of a multiple-detector, aqueous SEC technique has shown: . that it is capable of high precision and accuracy; . applicability to the analyses of METHOCEL cellulose ethers; . ability to generate consistent values of R-gw, IVw, (M) over bar (w), (M) over bar (N) and polydispersity; . ability to generate dependable Mark-Houwink-Sakurada parameters. Cellulose ethers in this study were commercial products, used 'as received', solutions were not dialyzed, corrections were not made for salt content ol moisture content and batches were not specially selected. The robustness, convenience and reproducibility of the technique are impressive. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
