摘要：

The application of living anionic, controlled/living radical and living cationic polymerization techniques for the preparation and characterization of functionalized polymers and copolymers with predetermined molecular characteristics is discussed. Combinations of these polymerization techniques for the preparation of the otherwise difficult to synthesize block copolymers are presented. Methods based on transition metal catalysis are excluded.
